Export-oriented VPP

Verification of VPP Business Model with Export-oriented Integrated VPP Solution

Project Overview

It is the project jointly promoted by the Korea Consortium (I-ON Communications, Busan City Gas, KH Shinhwa S&C) and Malaysia Power Authority (TNB) to install energy storage systems (ESS) and solar energy in four regions of Malaysia and integrate distributed energy resources into one to build a virtual power generation platform for efficient power transactions.

    Korea-Malaysia Matching Fund USD 7 Million
  • Project Features
    - Korea-Malaysia Signed RCA(Research Collaboration Agreement) for ‘VPP’.
    - Participate in innovative growth showcase linked to the Korea-ASEAN summit and introduce business to the top of 9 countries.
  • Expected Effect
    A bridgehead for exporting Korea's excellent energy technology to ASEAN markets such as Malaysia.
